It is built on MeshCentral, an open remote management platform, so it is not “just another TeamViewer” but a different class of solution.
Here is what that means in practice:
MeshCentral is open source: the architecture can be audited, the connection protocol can be verified, and the agent behavior can be controlled. Closed TeamViewer, AnyDesk, and Ammy Admin have to be accepted “as is,” relying on trust alone.
The same agent works consistently across all three platforms. Ammy Admin is a Windows-only product; in TeamViewer and AnyDesk, Linux and macOS support is noticeably more limited than the Windows version.
